Nano-Biopolymers Research Laboratory

Ceramics and polymers are widely used among various materials in different areas such as medicine and modern metals. Moreover, biopolymers have been utilized in various fields like drug delivery and dental implants due to their superb properties such as biodegradability, biocompatibility, non-toxicity, the ability to improve properties, etc. Several MS and PhD projects are defined in Nano-Biopolymers Research Laboratory based on different impressive topics such as synthesis of modified biopolymers for targeted drug delivery systems as well as investigation of various physicochemical characteristics, in vitro and in vivo tests. Hopefully, some practical and innovative nanobiopolymer products can be produced in next future by following this trend

Application of liquid-crystal elastomers in tissue engineering and molecular simulation

Modification of biopolymer nanocarriers (nanoparticles, nanofibers, hydrogels, etc.) for using in drug delivery systems to treat a variety of diseases

Synthesis and characterization of biopolymer nanocarriers by various methods including emulsion and molecularly imprinted polymers via applicable microfluidic systems

Application of biopolymer nanofibers in different areas of tissue engineering such as wound dressings
