According to the latest report published by the reliable QS database in the field of chemical engineering, published in April 2024, the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Tehran has been able to rank first among its internal competitors. In the QS ranking, criteria such as the number of reputable publications, citations, the impact factor of publications, the ratio of faculty to students, diversity in terms of race and culture at the university, and the level of industry collaboration and income generation are taken into consideration.

At the top of the world's universities in the field of Chemical Engineering, three prominent US universities, namely the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, and the University of California, Berkeley (UCB), hold the best ranks, respectively.

From Asia, two representatives from Singapore have been able to join the top 10 universities in the world, the third place belongs to Tsinghua University from China. The National University of Singapore, with a ranking of 5th globally, stands at the peak of Asia.
