According to the 2025 edition of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), commonly known as the Shanghai Ranking, six Iranian universities have been listed among the world’s top 1000 institutions.

We are proud to announce that the University of Tehran, alongside Tehran University of Medical Sciences, has achieved a global ranking in the 401–500 band, placing first nationally among Iranian universities.
